I have started knitting a sweater for Ella. This is the first 7 inches of the back side, but I can't go on because the pattern calls for me to start casting off for the sleeves and I don't know how. I'll post more pictures of my progress when I make some. I should get a book on how to decipher a pattern. It's all in a strange and wonderful code.

wow!
I am impressed. I invented my own "pattern" for crocheting sweaters. Can't help you with the casting off stuff. Maybe I'll make Ella a sweater, too. What size does she wear? No, mine won't be as pretty as yours, but it gives me something to do with my hands while I'm riding the exercise bike.
I could have done the crochet thing, but I really wanted to learn knitting. So I can now Knit and pearl, but am not sure how to cast off the correct way to decrease a row, or increase a row, for that matter. But I am just beginning. She would enjoy a sweater from you, I am sure. She wears a 3T, but I am knitting a 4T so she can wear it this sprint plus next winter.
