We had a lovely pre-dawn thunderstorm with lots of lightening to light up the skies... It was pretty. It mixed in nicely with my dreams.
Ella and Ron rode the city bus into campus the last two days. It's so cute to watch them walk down the block to the bus stop holding hands - Ella's frog umbrella bobbing along... I can even watch them board the bus through the window. It just makes me smile.

What a nice image. I wish more towns and cities had public transportation, it was so nice to use in Madison. Ella's short little steps and cute umbrella climbing the tall steps sound like a little bit of bliss.
Now, how to get my own wee one to _want_ to walk? Any suggestions? We bought her this little walker that she holds the handle of and toodles around the house but won't try to take any steps on her own. It's getting a bit embarassing to tell the truth!
Go to Main Street books and get one of those little walk along friends... They come in ducks and frogs and I think alligators. Ella learned by pushing one of those around. Lisa cn lead you in the right direction. Just tell her I sent you!
Thanks for the suggestion, but that's essentially what she's already got, minus the added bonus of being a frog or duck, she would have loved that! Eventually I'm sure she'll get it but 'when' is the real question. Anyway, my unspectacular Thursday report is +/-0. How many weeks does this make now?
Did you know Lisa isn't working at the bookstore anymore? She's been gone for several months now. She & Sam have decided to call it quits which is a shame but expected. Here's another bit of distressing news - Kate is closing the place. She said she's been losing money monthly and simply cannot keep it going anymore. I'm REALLY bummed out by this but hopefully she'll be able to find something around here and won't leave town.
Going to the Ren Fest in Shakopee this weekend, should be a blast! Take care,

So, where did Lisa go? She talked about going back to school... DId they move out of town? I know S has a new friend at UNI or something. Gossip. Too bad Business isn't better for Kate. I think times are just tough all over. Pella really needs that store.
