We like to make these super easy ornaments out of applesauce and cinnamon. When dry we decorate them with glitter glue. It's fun and easy.

They make the whole house smell like cinnamon. I hang one in the car (or a closet) as an air freshener, use as present labels, and hang them on the tree. They are fun to make as gifts for other holidays, too. Like Valentines day.

Those look great - got a recipe to share? For the weekly report I'm down -1. Let's see if I can make it through Christmas without going up, that would be awesome! Since I won't get back on the computer until January 3rd, Merry Christmas to all you Hardys!!

This look awsesome, guys!
I do have a "recipe". Take one big jar of cinnamon (does not have too be the good quality stuff since your not going to eat it) and mix in bowl with about 1 cup (cheap) apple sauce. I like to add the applesauce one tbsp at a time until it is all moist and sticks together easily. That's it. We use our hands to pat it flat (not too thin because they will be too fragile) and then cut out w/ cookie cutters. I use a drinking straw to make a hole for the string. Let them dry on the counter for a day or put in the oven at 200 degrees for a few hours until dry. Decorate and hang on tree. I have used glitter glue, felt cut outs, frosting, tempera paint (not recommended), glued on yard... almost anything. The decorations themselves are non toxic so are good fun with small kids. Have fun! Oh, sometimes I have added powdered cloves and/or cardomon for a more spicy aroma.
